Autumn is finally seguing into winter at D. Byrne & Co. and we have had our tasting glasses out to choose the wines for our Christmas cases.
The cases each contain twelve superb wines to suit all your seasonal drinking. They also make ideal presents, which can be collected from the shop or can be delivered to any address in mainland UK in time for Christmas. The cases also make excellent corporate gifts, please call us for details.

So whether you want to send a gift, thank a loved one, turn up with something special at a house party or simply light the fire, put your feet up and indulge, we have something for you.

Please note that due to the sheer quantity of wines being sold in our cases over the Christmas period, we reserve the right to substitute a wine or vintage for one of an equal quality if necessary.

A special thank you to Kate Byrne who has illustrated our Christmas newsletter this year.

Stone fruit, apple and floral aromas and a palate that shows delicate yet complex floral notes. There is real freshness and vitality here and attractive white and citrus fruit flavours.

Domaine du Pre Baron Touraine
This Sauvignon has a beautiful perfume; think gooseberries steeped in elderflower cordial. The palate is very fresh, elegant and dry with a delicious crisp acidity on the lingering floral finish. A simply wonderful alternative to Sancerre.

Caparrone Pecorino IGT Colline Pescaresi
The Pecorino is without doubt one of Italy's most interesting and increasingly fashionable grape varieties. Delicate floral, stone fruit and citrus aromas lead on to a palate with fresh peach notes backed by a textural minerality, nutty characters, and crisp acidity.

A perfect interpretation of the quintessential and increasingly popular ‘new world’ Chardonnay. The finish is long and satisfying, and elegantly poised.

This is a delightful and traditionally made Muscadet from one of the star producers of the region. Crisp, flinty notes with a hint of lemon on the nose.
